Welcome to EEL (English Enhancement Learning). By accessing or using our platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, logging in, or using any part of the EEL platform, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you may not use the service. If you are using EEL on behalf of a school or institution, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these terms.

2. Description of Service

EEL provides an online English literacy learning platform, including reading and pronunciation practice, quizzes, progress tracking, and tools for teachers to manage classes and assignments. The service may be used by students, teachers, and administrators in accordance with their roles and with any institution-specific agreements.

3. Accounts and Registration

  • You must provide accurate and complete information when registering. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity under your account.
  • Account approval for teachers and students may be subject to admin or institutional verification. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or that are used fraudulently or abusively.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use EEL only for lawful educational purposes. You must not:

  • Share your login credentials or allow others to use your account.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the platform, other users’ data, or our systems.
  • Use the service to harass, abuse, or harm others, or to distribute malicious or illegal content.
  • Scrape, copy, or automate access to content or data in a way that violates these terms or our technical policies.
  • Use the platform in any way that could damage, disable, or overburden our infrastructure.

We may suspend or terminate access for violations of acceptable use.

5. Content and Intellectual Property

EEL and its content (including but not limited to text, design, software, and logos) are owned by or licensed to the platform operators and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our content without permission. You retain rights to content you create (e.g., teacher-created quizzes); by submitting it, you grant us a license to use, store, and display it as needed to operate the service.

6. Privacy and Data

Your use of EEL is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information. By using the platform, you consent to that processing.

7. Disclaimers

The service is provided “as is.” We do not guarantee that EEL will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for every educational need. We are not liable for outcomes that depend on how the platform is used in your institution. Educational decisions and compliance with local regulations remain your responsibility.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, EEL and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, including loss of data or loss of educational opportunity. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount, if any, you have paid to use the service in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

9. Changes to the Service and Terms

We may change or discontinue features of the platform with reasonable notice where practicable. We may also update these Terms of Service; the updated version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use of EEL after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the service.

10. Termination

You may stop using the platform at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access for breach of these terms, for legal or regulatory reasons, or to protect the service and other users. Upon termination, your right to use EEL ceases; we may retain and use data as described in our Privacy Policy.

11. General

These terms are governed by the laws applicable to the platform operators. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a right does not waive that right. These terms constitute the entire agreement between you and EEL regarding the service.
